Cookie Policy

What is stored in your browser, how we use technical analytics and when Spotify comes into play. Last updated: October 2026.

In short

The site uses no cookies of its own

Technical storage in your browser

The site sets no cookies of its own. For technical analytics it uses PostHog (servers in the European Union), which in the current configuration stores no cookies and no data in the browser’s local storage. Google Analytics 4, which sets Google cookies, is loaded only after your analytics consent. The site uses your browser’s local storage for these technical items:

  • The selected language (Italian or English), so it is not asked at every visit.
  • Your choice about the Spotify player (activated or blocked), so it is respected on later visits.
  • Your choice about Google Analytics (consent given or withdrawn).

This information stays on your device, does not identify you and is not sent to us or to third parties. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

Technical analytics (PostHog — European Union)

The site uses PostHog for technical analytics: pages visited, aggregated interactions with page elements, performance indicators (Web Vitals) and error detection. In this configuration:

  • Session recording is disabled.
  • Data stays only in the page’s memory: no PostHog cookies or local storage.
  • URL parameters and fragments are removed before sending.
  • Private and restricted areas of the site do not send element interactions.
  • Passwords and form field contents are not recorded.
  • The data is not used for advertising.

Google Analytics 4 (consent only)

Google Analytics 4 is active only after your analytics consent on the Preferences page. Before consent Google’s script is not loaded and no request is sent to Google Analytics. With consent Google sets its own cookies (for example _ga), receives connection data and may receive the full page URL, including any technical query parameters; we do not intentionally send form contents or passwords, with advertising signals disabled. Withdrawing consent stops sending; cookies already set can be deleted in your browser settings.

Images and typefaces

Images, covers (including the podcast cover) and typefaces are hosted directly on this site. When you open the pages your browser does not contact external services such as font libraries or image networks.

Third parties

The Spotify player

The official Spotify player is available on the Podcast page. Before you consent, the player is not loaded: instead you see the cover hosted on our own site, an explanation and an activation button. In this state no request is sent to Spotify, not even for images or previews, and no Spotify cookie is set. We verified this by observing the page’s network requests.

If you activate the player, your browser connects to Spotify’s domains to load it and play the content. At that point Spotify receives connection data, including your IP address, information about your browser and about the page the request comes from, and sets its own cookies and technical storage on your device. In our checks we observed Spotify cookies related to the session and to the landing page.

These cookies belong to Spotify, not to us: their purposes, lifetimes and processing are described in Spotify’s privacy notice and cookie policy, which we invite you to read. We do not state here lifetimes or safeguards we cannot verify.

You can also listen to the podcast directly on Spotify using the link on the page: in that case you leave this site and only Spotify’s terms apply.

Consent

How to activate and how to withdraw

Activation

The player is activated only by your explicit action: the “Activate Spotify player” button on the Podcast page, or the matching control on the Preferences page. There is no implicit activation linked to scrolling or browsing.

Withdrawal

You can withdraw consent at any time on the Preferences page or with the control below the player. After withdrawal the player is blocked again and the site performs no further loads towards Spotify.

Withdrawal applies to future loads. Any cookies already set by Spotify belong to Spotify and this site is technically unable to delete them: you can remove them from your browser settings, under site data.
